"We loved everything about the stay! The owners were super super friendly and helpful. The cabin and grounds were clean. We killed a few spiders, one being a black widow. Spiders are expected everywhere. Just something for owners ro be aware of. We loved the fire pit, swings, games, grill access. Al around we give this place 5 stars!"

"There was plenty of rooms and plenty of bathrooms. The property itself wasn’t as clean as it could be. There were some cobwebs up in the corners and the windows weren’t clean. The outside wasn’t well maintained. There was some lights that didn’t have bulbs in them. The toilet tissue holders in the bathroom were broke. One of the windows was broke as far as the mechanism to open and close it. But overall, it was a pretty great place."

"The house sits a little outside of town but in a nice neighborhood. The 3 level house was very nice and can hold several families and has a nice living area with a somewhat small kitchen but it was not a problem at all. It was very clean and nicely furnished. The only issue we had was regulating the temp at night in the house with 3 levels. The folks on the bottom floor were comfortable but the people on the top 2 floors were a little warm. "The unit was clean and comfortable, with amazing views and great natural light. It was easy to access and easy to find. One thing we were not aware of was the HOA rules about parking, and we had rented a small RV to drive to Durango that was not welcome. So we had to get creative about where we parked the RV. Luckily we were visiting family who lived close and they allowed us to park at their place, and with some creativity and a lot of vehicle sharing, we only had to walk once. The neighborhood was quiet and we were very comfortable. The owners made sure to have everything on hand that we needed for a restful stay - plenty of room, lots of personal care items, and suggestions about food and activities."

"Everything was clear, accurate to my and oir expectations; host was communicative and helpful clarifying as i had a person or two in my group with some special requirements. The place was clean, beautiful, well appointed and stocked. Close to downtown restaurants. Quiet area too. We had a beautiful family gathering, room for people together and privately, lovely kitchen and main space, back deck too!"

"This property exceeded our expectations! The cabin is newly renovated with new appliances and appropriately stocked with cooking essentials. It was also spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable and the babbling brook right outside the cabin lulled us to sleep. We spent days on the covered porch watching the birds and also enjoyed an occasional visit from the ranch dogs, who were polite and well mannered. Host was delightful! She communicated well and was quick to respond to requests. The James Market was well stocked with fresh organic veggies, meats, and many other local items. We had the best burgers we'd ever had at the James Grill. This deserves much more than five stars! If you're in the Durango area, give this a try. You won't be disappointed."

"Very nice property. Located conveniently about 8 miles north of Durango. It’s an easy drive to Durango to eat, shop, or do activities like white water rafting or ziplines. The property is in a quiet little subdivision and backs up directly to a really great hiking trail up the mountain. We took our White Shepherd on this trail multiple times and he loved it. We went a couple miles on this trail. Great views of the valley and mountains. The house itself is set up nicely. The bedrooms are all downstairs and the kitchen and living room are upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and the other kitchen essentials you need to cook. It cooled down at night when we opened the windows. They provided lots of amenities to get us going like soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. We saw lots of wildlife right out the back windows. There are 3 or 4 turkeys that would come in the AM and PM and be right at the bottom of the deck. We saw some deer and even a bear! The neighbors were mostly friendly and nice. We sat out on the back deck in the afternoon and evening and it was very peaceful. Purgatory ski resort is an easy 30 minute drive up 550. The National Forest is as well. The Durango Hot Springs Spa and Resort is literally 5 minutes from the house. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Durango."

"We had an excellent stay overall. The home was clean and well stocked with just about everything that we needed. The only critique that we have is that the owner locks all of the thermostats and it was over 80 degrees in some of the bedrooms at night. For the price we’re paying, this should not be a concern."
